Be Your Own Hero – Take Control of Your Life and Health
Game of Thrones (GOT) is the most worldwide anticipated, watched and talked-about series in the history of television. Wherever I go in New York City, total strangers from all walks of life engage in impromptu conversations about what’s happened in last week’s episode, theories on what will transpire in next week’s episode and all the small minutae and insights picked up during the viewing of the last 7 seasons. What has created this worldwide, modern day phenomenon? I believe I have the answer for you…
We all live in a world where there is much darkness, craziness and uncertainty; many of us are seeking a hero. In GOT, the entire world has banded together to fight a common enemy. The individual heroes come from all nations and all walks of life – hence, they bring their individual talents and quirks to fight together so the world as they know it can be saved. So, most of us fans identify with one or more of the main characters as our own ‘hero’.
In the real world, each and every one of us can be our own hero. We can pay it forward by actions and deeds; we all can transform ourselves and become heroes to others. However, there is no superhero who can fight another day if not in good health. Poor lifestyle habits, addictions and not prioritizing our own health can take many of us ‘down the rabbit hole’.
Be your own hero and become a superhero to others by taking control of your life and health without self-medicating with poor lifestyle choices, poor food choices, overdoing the alcohol and taking drugs that are addictive.
When you are in control of your Self both physically and emotionally, you will feel better, life a fuller and happier life and beam this joy and brightness that will attract good energy. You will become a magnet of Life for many. People will ask you ‘what do you eat for breakfast?’ or ‘I wish I could be more like you’. You don’t have to turn on the television or go to the movie theater to see a superhero. All you have to do is look into the mirror to find the hero that lives inside your own true Self. If you need a little guidance for lifestyle change, nutritional counseling, help with kicking an addiction or general wellness ‘tune-ups’, email or telephone my office. People – even Arya Stark needed help so she could annihilate the Night King…just sayin’.
Me? I don’t need a superhero to look up to….I already am a superhero!
